Sika® Primer-210 is a clear or slightly yellow primer that is dissolved in solvents. When exposed to moisture, it creates a thin layer that acts as a bridge between the substrates and adhesives. Sika® Primer-210 is designed for use before applying Sika’s 1-component polyurethanes to prepare bond faces.
Usage
Sika® Primer-210 is applied to increase adhesion on various metals including aluminum, steel, and non-ferrous metals. It may also be used to improve adhesion of Sikasil® sealants and adhesives. Prior to using Sika® Primer-210 on materials that may be susceptible to stress cracking, consult the manufacturer and perform tests on original substrates. This product is only intended for use by experienced professional users who should conduct tests under specific substrate and condition to ensure adhesion and material compatibility.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from grease, oil, dust and contaminants.
Adhesion on substrates might be improved by adding and/or combining pre-treatment processes such as scuffing, cleaning and activating prior the primer application.
Primer Application
To use Sika® Primer-210, apply a thin and even layer using a brush, felt, clean lint-free cloth or foam applicator to fully cover the substrate. Avoid exposing the bond line to high temperature or stress within three days of application, as Sika® Primer-210 exhibits a thermo-plastic behavior during this period.
The optimal application and surface temperature is between 15°C and 25°C. One application of Sika® Primer-210 is enough, ensuring that the single application provides sufficiently dense coverage. The specific consumption and application method may vary depending on the substrate. After use, tightly reseal the container. It is important to seek advice from the manufacturer and perform tests on the original substrates prior to using Sika® Primer-210, especially for materials prone to stress cracking. This product should only be used by experienced professional users, and testing under actual substrate and condition is necessary to ensure material compatibility and adhesion.
